Steve Larsen
co-founder and CEO
Steve Larsen, co-founder and CEO, has been part of five venture backed startup companies. Most recently, he was CEO of security software company BigFix. Before that he was on the founding teams of Net Perceptions (Nasdaq: NETP) and CitySearch (Nasdaq: TMCS). He spent three years as a venture partner with St. Paul Venture Capital where he worked with portfolio companies like LowerMyBills.com and Bravanta. Hes held senior management positions at Prodigy, AT&T, Open Systems and Control Data Corporation.
Ken Krugler
co-founder and CTO
Ken Krugler, co-founder and CTO, began work on search-driven development systems in February 2005. His involvement with the open source Chandler project in 2004 led to the realization that there had to be a better way to find useful code and good technical information. Prior to Krugle, Ken spent 16 years solving internationalization problems for Silicon Valley companies. He cut his coding teeth in the Lisa/Mac vortex at Apple, after graduating from MIT in 1983 with a BS in computer science.
Mike Rich
Vice President of Sales
Mike Rich, Vice President Sales brings over 15 years of enterprise software sales and sales management experience to Krugle. Prior to Krugle he was Sales Director at Borland Software managing sales of application lifecycle management solutions into the high-tech, healthcare and financial verticals in the western region. Prior to Borland he was Sales Director at Togethersoft Corporation (later acquired by Borland Software Corporation). Prior to Togethersoft he held senior sales management positions at Kana Software Corporation, Rational Software Corporation and Pure Atria Software Corporation. Mr. Rich holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Dean Pfutzenreuter
Vice President of Engineering
Dean Pfutzenreuter Vice President of Engineering has 17 years of experience delivering shrink wrapped and enterprise software. He was Vice President of Product Development and co-founder of Open Field Software where he architected an award winning anti-spam product. Prior to Open Field Software Dean was Director of Consulting Services at Thuridion were he provide insight into new technologies, developing reusable code libraries, and helped to define and improve Thuridion's software development process.
Bill Daniher
Vice President of Finance and Business Development
Bill was previously Vice President, Operations and Business Development for the Ziff Davis Game Group. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Operations for K2 Optronics. Prior to that he was General Manager and VP Operations for 1stUp.com, a CMGI company. He also held several roles for AMP Incorporated, including Vice President, Finance and CFO for its Connectware Subsidiary and General Manager of the Passive Products Division. He received his M.B.A. from Harvard University and B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
Mel Badgett
Vice President of Product Marketing
Mel Badgett, Vice President of Product Marketing, has 16 years experience building and growing market-leading software businesses. Most recently, he was a principal at Porter-Sloan, a product management and marketing consultancy. Previously, he was director of E Business at Adobe Systems, and before that was the Director of the Graphics Application Business at Claris Corporation.
Matt Graney
Vice President of Product Management
Matt Graney is Vice President of Product Management at Krugle. He joined Krugle in late 2007, bringing more than 15 years of experience as a developer, sales engineer, product manager and market strategist. Matt came to Krugle after leading the Product Management team for ALM products at Borland Software, and prior to Borland, Matt spent over 5 years at Telelogic (now part of IBM Rational) in a range of roles from field sales to technical marketing.

Brian Jacobs, General Partner, Emergence Capital PartnersBrian Jacobs is a Founder and General Partner of Emergence. When Brian's MIT fraternity buddy, Ken Krugler, came to him with the idea for Krugle, Brian called Steve Larsen who Brian had worked with on three other startups; Net Perceptions, Visage Mobile and BigFix. During several months in the summer of 2005, a business plan, seed funding and the foundation of a technical team came together and the company was born. Brian's done this before. In his 18 years of venture capital experience he's helped many consumer and business-oriented startups achieve their goals. His engineering and new product experience (RCA, Westinghouse, Polaroid) means he really gets the value in great products. In January 2006, Brian was named to the Forbes' Midas List of top venture capital investors. He's an experienced board member, having served on dozens of public and private boards. He currently serves on the boards of Visage Mobile, Krugle, Inc., Intacct Corporation and Lexar Media (LEXR). He was an early and active investor in WebTV (Microsoft), HireRight, BigFix and NextCard (NXCD). He's also invested in a broad variety of service-enabling infrastructure companies, such as nQuire Software (Siebel Systems), Microchip Technologies (MCHP), NetPerceptions (NETP), and Cloudscape (Informix). He has a MS and BS in mechanical engineering from M.I.T. and an MBA from Stanford. He is married with two children and enjoys international travel and scuba diving.

Dale Fuller, BOD, Guidance Software and COB, Phoenix TechnologyDale Fuller is a proven technology executive with extensive experience across a wide range of consumer and enterprise companies. A track record of successfully leading companies, from start up, mid size public or fortune 1000 companies, directing new vision, strategic directions, growth, managing through crisis situations and turnarounds, all resulting in substantial improvements in operational performance and creation of significant shareholder value. Deep functional expertise across; Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, and Global Management. Most recently Dale served as a Board Member and then as interim President and CEO of McAfee during 2006 and early 2007 (NYSE: MFE). He currently serves as a board member at Guidance Software (NASDAQ: GUID) and is Chairman of the Board at Phoenix Technologies (NASDAQ; PTEC). At McAfee (MFE) he was responsible for working through the company's restatement and accounting issues in regards to stock options accounting and served on the company's special committee reporting to the SEC and DOJ. During this interim CEO assignment, he kept the company focused on operational execution, revenue growth, and margin expansion leading to a 52 week high in stock price and creation of approximately $1 billion in market cap. His resume as a leader, investor and advisor include; WhoWhere which was purchased by Lycos in 1998, Paypal purchased by Ebay, manages a personal portfolio of 25 other active startup investments, advisor to many Venture Capital funds a former executive at Apple Computer, NEC, Motorola and Texas Instruments and as CEO of Borland (NASDAQ: BORL), Fuller has deep experience in the life cycle application development, management and developer space.

Mark Menell, General Partner, Rustic Canyon PartnersSix months after its seed round, Mark Menell led Krugle's next round in his role at Rustic Canyon where he's been a partner since the inception of the firm in 1999, where Mark is focused on communications, consumer oriented technologies, and media/technology convergence. Formerly an investment banker, Mark was co-head of Morgan Stanley's Technology Mergers and Acquisitions Group, in Menlo Park. While there, Morgan Stanley was recognized as the leading technology mergers and acquisitions advisor for three consecutive years and Mark advised on more than 50 completed transactions valued in excess of $150 billion with clients such as Excite@Home, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Netscape, USWeb/CKS and VeriSign. Before moving to Silicon Valley in 1996, Mark was responsible for Morgan Stanley's media and telecommunications M&A practice, advising clients such as Times Mirror, AT&T, Softbank and Time Warner. Prior to that, he was an investment banker at Salomon Brothers. Mark has a bachelors degree magna cum laude in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, a bachelor of science degree magna cum laude in finance and his MBA from the Wharton School of Business. He's on the board of the Jewish Family and Children's Services of the San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties.

Steve Larsen, Co-Founder and CEO, KrugleSteve Larsen is co-founder and CEO of Krugle. A hands-on leader, Larsen has applied his business development, marketing, strategy and general management expertise in a variety of venture-backed technologies companies. He's been CEO or on the founding executive team of several successful venture-backed technology startups, including BigFix, Inc., Visage Mobile, Net Perceptions and CitySearch. Prior to that he held senior management positions at Prodigy, AT&T, Open Systems and Control Data Corporation. In 1999, Steve launched Personalization.com and subsequently began the Personalization Summits, a series of conferences for executives in the CRM, personalization and internet privacy space. In 1997, he wrote Competing in CyberSpace: Guidelines for Market-Driven Web Site Planning and Design.

Todor Tashev, Director, Omidyar NetworkTodor Tashev of Omidyar Network has more than 15 years of experience in finance, private equity, and corporate and business development. At JP Morgan Capital, he worked on more than $200 million in equity investments across a range of industries and investment stages. At Tellme Networks, a leading voice applications network, he developed and led the company's OEM strategy and business development with the largest US wireless carriers. Most recently, Todor advised senior management at LiveOps, a leader in the virtual call center space, on a broad range of market, competitive strategy, and fundraising issues. Todor holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, an MA in International Economics from Carleton University, Canada, and a law degree (LLM) in International Law from the Moscow Institute of International Relations.
